How Much Does a Chiropractor Cost in Coral Springs, FL?

The cost of chiropractic care in Coral Springs depends mostly on your insurance. With insurance, most patients pay their plan’s copay or coinsurance for each visit after any deductible is met. Without insurance, your cost depends on what your exam shows you need. At Maan Chiropractic, you receive your exact costs in writing before any treatment begins.

I have been in practice in Coral Springs since 2013. Cost is one of the first questions patients ask, and one of the questions chiropractic offices answer least clearly. Many people delay care because they are afraid of an open-ended bill or a long-term contract. This article explains what drives the cost of chiropractic care, what insurance typically covers, and how to know your costs before you ever walk through the door.

How Much Does a Chiropractor Cost in Coral Springs, FL?

What Affects the Cost of Chiropractic Care?

No two treatment plans cost exactly the same, because no two diagnoses are the same. These are the factors that make the biggest difference:

  • Your insurance plan determines your copay, coinsurance, deductible, and how many visits are covered each year.

  • Your first visit usually costs more than follow-up visits, because it includes a full history, examination, and sometimes digital X-rays.

  • The number of visits you need depends on your condition, how long you have had it, and how quickly you respond to care.

  • Some advanced therapies, such as spinal decompression, shockwave therapy, and cold laser therapy, may not be covered by every insurance plan.

  • The type of claim matters, because auto accident and workers’ compensation claims are billed differently than health insurance.

What Chiropractic Care Costs Without Insurance

Self-pay costs vary based on your diagnosis and the care your exam shows you need. Rather than quoting a one-size-fits-all number, we give you the exact cost of your first visit and your recommended plan before you commit to anything. Here is how self-pay care is structured in our office:

  • Your first visit includes a consultation and a complete examination, so you leave with a clear diagnosis.

  • Digital X-rays are taken only when your history and exam show they are needed, and you are told the cost before they are taken.

  • Follow-up visits cost less than your first visit, because the full examination has already been completed.

  • Advanced therapies such as spinal decompression, shockwave therapy, and cold laser therapy are priced separately and recommended only when they fit your diagnosis.

  • Your written plan shows the expected number of visits, so you can see the total cost before you start.

For our current self-pay rates, call or text us at (954) 225-4007. You can also use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for chiropractic care, since it generally qualifies as an eligible medical expense. We also accept CareCredit for patients who prefer to spread out payments.

What Chiropractic Care Costs With Insurance

Most major health insurance plans include chiropractic benefits. What you pay depends on four parts of your plan:

  • Your deductible is the amount you pay before your insurance begins sharing costs.

  • Your copay is a flat amount you pay at each visit, often similar to a specialist copay.

  • Your coinsurance is a percentage of the visit cost you pay after your deductible is met.

  • Your visit limit is the number of chiropractic visits your plan covers each year.

HMO plans may also require a referral from your primary care physician before your first visit, and out-of-network care usually costs more. We accept a wide range of plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Florida Blue, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Oscar, and AvMed. You can see the full list on our accepted insurance page, and carrier-specific details on our pages for Aetna, Oscar, and AvMed.

Does Medicare Cover Chiropractic Care?

Original Medicare Part B covers spinal manipulation by a chiropractor when it is medically necessary to treat a specific spinal problem. After you meet your Part B deductible, you typically pay 20 percent of the Medicare-approved amount. Original Medicare does not cover the examination, X-rays, or other therapies a chiropractor provides, so those may be billed to you separately or to a supplemental plan.

Medicare Advantage plans often include the same coverage and sometimes additional chiropractic benefits. Coverage varies by plan, which is why we check before your first visit. We see many Medicare Advantage patients, including members of Preferred Care Partners and AvMed plans.

What About Auto Accidents and Work Injuries?

If you were hurt in a car accident, your Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage pays 80 percent of reasonable medical expenses, up to your policy limits. You must receive initial care within 14 days of the accident to use those benefits. I explain the rule in detail in my guide to Florida’s 14-day PIP rule. We also work with personal injury attorneys and under letters of protection. You can learn more on our auto accident care page.

If you were injured on the job, your care is billed through your employer’s workers’ compensation carrier rather than your health insurance. As a Certified Workers’ Compensation Physician, Dr. Maan works directly with those claims. See our workers’ compensation care page for details.

Watch for These Cost Red Flags

Most chiropractors price their care fairly. However, a few practices in any area use sales tactics that can cost patients far more than they expected. Be cautious if an office does any of the following:

  • An office asks you to sign a long-term contract or commit to dozens of visits before your exam is complete.

  • An office pressures you to prepay a large package of visits at your first appointment.

  • An office cannot tell you what your insurance covers or what you will owe until after treatment.

  • An office recommends the same plan length for every patient, regardless of diagnosis.

I cover more warning signs in my article on chiropractic red flags.

How We Keep Your Costs Predictable

We built our office around one simple rule: you should know what your care will cost before it starts. Here is how that works:

  • We verify your insurance benefits before your first visit, including your copay, deductible, coinsurance, visit limits, and referral requirements.

  • We give you a written plan that explains your diagnosis, the recommended treatment, and the expected number of visits.

  • We tell you in advance if any part of your care is not covered by your insurance, so you can decide before it happens.

  • We never require long-term contracts or prepaid packages.

  • We reassess your progress regularly and reduce your visits as you improve.

If you have ever wondered whether chiropractic care means coming in forever, I answer that directly on our Do I Have to Keep Going to a Chiropractor? page.

Questions to Ask Any Chiropractor About Cost

Whether you choose our office or another one, these questions will protect you from surprise bills:

  • Ask whether the office will verify your insurance benefits before your first visit.

  • Ask what your first visit will cost and what it includes.

  • Ask which recommended treatments your insurance covers and which ones it does not.

  • Ask how many visits your plan is likely to require and when your progress will be reassessed.

  • Ask whether you are required to sign a contract or prepay for care.
